About The Section of Youth Mental Health Excellence Award
The Section of Youth Mental Health Excellence Award is presented to a RANZCP psychiatry trainee or psychiatrist for outstanding contributions to advancement of Youth Mental Health within Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand (via clinical, research, service delivery or health promotion activities).
Eligibility Criteria
The award is presented to a current RANZCP trainee, Fellow or Affiliate member, or a team of eligible members, considered to have provided a significant contribution to Youth Mental Health, for example by publishing a relevant article on Youth Mental Health, providing excellence in clinical care of youth, developing innovative youth mental health programs, or providing advocacy for youth with mental health issues.
Application/Nomination Process
Applications/nominations for the Award may be made by any member of the RANZCP on their own behalf, or on their behalf by another RANZCP member.
Written applications/nominations should include a curriculum vitae (required for individual applications only), a one-page document detailing their/the nominee’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of Youth Mental Health through clinical, research, service delivery or health promotion activities, along with any other relevant supporting material.
Form of Award
- A framed award certificate
- A/NZ$500
- An invitation to accept the award at the College Ceremony during Congress
The award does not include travel support or registration for the recipient(s) to attend Congress or the Section Conference.
Frequency
The award is made available annually in line with the RANZCP awards program. If there are no suitable applicants, the award will not be made in that year.
